FLIP BOOK STATION PUBLIC ART PROJECT.

For a college group project aimed at enhancing London, I set out to make public spaces more engaging. It troubles me to see people immersed in their phones when there are so many wonders around them. My idea encourages people to notice the world around them instead of social media.

The concept is simple yet striking: stick figures placed at calculated intervals on tunnel walls, each in a slightly different running pose. As the train accelerates, these neon figures appear to run alongside, creating an animation effect as the frames blend together. It’s a captivating reminder of the power of human perception—how our minds turn still images into a moving picture. It’s almost magical, like a real-life cartoon.
